Just burn the game with ImgBurn 2.4x speed. Before burn it, go to Tools -> Settings... -> Write and set Layer Break to User Specified and input "2084960". Then burn the game and play the game without any kind of DREs. Even on videos. And you don't need any "high quality" DVD DL discs. I had only Ritek and try that and it work perfectly!

It should be working with all modchips that support DVD DL discs.

hmm yeah I cant get my DL to work!!

100% update on DVD5, and DL burnt with layer break on 2.4x and 4x using imgburn.

I am getting the green screen aswell, if i swap out to DVD5 to get past the intro sequence and switch back at the main menu for SSE it crashes after the first fight!!

wiikey 1.9g, 1.3 config disk, 3x drive speed, vert DL singapore. 50hz, deflicker off.

help!!

How risky is 15%?

Very little if your wii is already updated to 3.1 before you try this.

A lot if it is 3.0 or below

You can check you wii firmware's version on the upper right corner of your wii's configuration menu screen.

does changing the layer setting affect the burning process? because I tried to burn a copy for a "customer" (friend who's paying me to burn the game for him), without brickblocking or anything, with IMGburn, on windows xp. while it worked two weeks ago for me (using wii update remover on the same computer), today I got the same error I got on vista, when it got to 50%. The media was the same (memorex DVD+DL) and my first successfully burnt copy is running fine to this day.

anyone can help?

edit: I did not change the layer break setting when I burned my working copy

Could someone provide their burning details alone with wiikey drive speed for those who got their DL working 100%?

EDIT: Is that with layer break?

Strange caus mine is the the same setup only i am using vert

Has anyone bricked their with with the 15% trick whilst on 3.1E?
I have a Wii at 3.1, I don't want to risk bricking it... And I don't really want dual channels as it's a waste of blocks.

Ok, to answer my own question, I did method B, and it worked with the DVD5 version afterward. However, it's giving me errors here and there. I was using a DVDRW, so I'm about to try on a regular DVD.

I don't want to waste a DVD9 on this until the US version is released. Not worth it, IMO.

Louse, there is a patch for the game out in another thread. If you have any troubles when you find it, message me.

just curious...

with the official release of NTSC-U SSBB upon us, is it really necessary to have this (J) thread stickied?

methinks it's time to start up a thread for support in getting the US version of the game up and running assuming there ARE problems getting the game to run lol...either backups or the real thing.
