Wondering if anyone can explain something to me about power cables:

Here is a pic of a PSP USB charging cable:

My question is, are there versions of this cable that don't have the USB? (the middle one)
I can't find anything like that when searching for PSP cables/adapters, but does a generic cable of this type exist? (USB Type A ---> circular power plug that fits the PSP)

This is what I want, but without the DS Lite part.

I find it odd that they went and ruined it by putting in the DS Lite cable, which isn't even PSP related.
So close!

Though the PSP1000 does not work that way I believe the newer versions do support charging over the normal USB part.

Also not got a pair or wire cutters?

Yea I am considering getting one and clipping it, or just using it as-is. That's actually why I was looking at cables on ebay just now.

Yes, but I think the system has to be on in order for this to work. When I plugged my PSP 3k into the PC, the charging light didn't appear. And I couldn't power on the PSP since it didn't have enough juice.

Ship from US (Description does not match picture, should contact seller for more info):

Mother of God...

Still, I'd rather have the China one, since it's 33 inches as opposed to 1.5 meters. (or 59 inches)
edit: Bought it!

p.s., before making this post I saw this:

Not a PSP and DS Lite charger... this time it's PSP and Vita.
It's like PSP is never allowed to get a charger all to itself. xD
