I was thinking about a general development section, where we could discuss about game mechanics, code analysis, ask about programming techniques, and other stuff (ikr that StackOverflow, and other sites exist, but we don't have the same kind of "freedom" that we have here (discussion- and opinion-wise)). This would also be great, because if someone has the same problem/idea, that person could join the discussion. Also, the 3DS homebrew development section is overfilled with many useless and noob posts about downgrading, so this sub-forum would be (kinda) clean from noobs' bullshiet.

As I said we already have a forum aimed at just this and available for any system beyond those which have their own forums -- http://gbatemp.net/forums/computer-programming-emulation-and-game-modding.268/
If I have to type out a basic intro to game design, game theory and game programming then I will but the forum is there and used as such by a few people.

Yes, that's why I originally wanted a general programming sub-forum, because the stuff I wanted to write is so general, that it can't just be tied to any system.
But ye, it's hard for me to decide if I really want to ask for a sub-forum just for a single post, and the computer programming section is there, and it's not really used...:wtf:

Yeah I am not sure what happened there. I was one of the ones doing post moving and going through all that I saw there used to be quite a few programming threads, then they all seemed to dry up.
