USB type C, micro USB is unreliable and I avoid them at all costs.

Same. Can't stand anything before USB type C. If it's just a port for charging and I don't need to transfer data, I just plug the port with a magnetic charging tip, and use them exclusively. I add magnetic charging tips to all my devices now.
