Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking GCI saver not working

I am trying to use the GCI saver tool. Just grabbed a GCI Crystal Chronicles Save File off of gamefaqs. Named it to CC.GCI. Put it in the right folder, and am launching through homebrew channel. The program detects the save file, I hit the A button to copy to slot A, and it goes through a bunch of lines. When It is done it displays a bunch of number, and I turn off my Wii like I am supposed to. I go into data management on my wii, and the save file is not on the memory card.

Tried slot B as well, same result. Any advice?

You're making the name two or less characters, so all I could really say would be to try it with the Twilight Hack if you can. Some programs don't yet work properly with the Homebrew Channel, as it has not yet been 'officially' released.
