Hacking GC Saver Doesn't work

My Super Mario Sunshine .GCI save I got from GameFAQs does copy, but it says that the file is corrupt can someone help me out here? Please? (and yes, I renamed it to A.GCI and put it in the right folder)

It has something to do with a homebrew app, and homebrew has something to do with hacking (It's in the forum description).

Well, you might as well try to help me out with the problem and give me a possible solution.

Double check if it's the right region, compare other saves from super mario sunshine in a hex editor to see if the header is bad. If it's a .gcs file for that gameshark save device, it will work after modifying a few bytes and chopping off others. too lazy to go into specifics right now...

I don't know where the header is, I know nothing about hexadecimals.
