Hacking GC loader memory card clarification

Hi,

Is it possible to have PAL and NTSC saves mixed on one gamecube memory card?

I have some GC games (like mario kart dd or harvest moon) in PAL and now I'd like to try some GC games in NTSC. I don't want to lose my saves (I'd rather buy another memory card).

I think I read somewhere that this isn't possible.
So if I'm right, you'll just have to buy another memory card....
