Lol sponge, it seems we're on a tie, hahaha.
My fingers are literaly broken, so I think I'll give up for today.

By the way Costello, I've already won one card (in the Bug contest), is it possible to win two?

How in the hell did I manage that?
Look at the bike.

*phew*, after somebody knocked me down to 4th, I worked hard and upped my score to 6332, just putting me back in 3rd...

Gah, I really fucking hate this game.

Edit: Up to 6617 now, but I've had enough to be honest.
I honestly don't know how you guys are managing 7000+ scores.

Can I suggest that everyone begin posting screenshots if they get into the top five? I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but with scores appearing so close to the maximum within such small range of each other, it's probably best from this point onward to eliminate any doubt.

...PHEW, oh thank god that's over.
Sometime yesterday a 5-post user called mcopo topped my previous top score of 6882 with a score of 7071. He managed to snag 5th place away from me, eliminating me from the drawing.
I struggled, oh MAN how I struggled, but I finally did it, I topped it with 7371 and securing my 5th place again.

At first though the Arcade glitched and would not accept my score submission. Thankfully by fiddling around with tabs and cache I was able to get it to accept my score normally.

I agree with SpongeFreak52 about posting screens of our top score, so here you go.

With less than four hours until the contest closes, I'm more than likely to keep my 5th place now.

It's over, the contest closed 16 hours 28 minutes ago, at April 7th 12:00am GMT (UK time)

I checked the leaderboards at the time and took a screengrab.

Every GBAtemp page includes the current time at the bottom, which helps. But you can look at the leaderboard anyway and see what entries came in yesterday.

It's certainly not official until Costello says so, but it looks like the winners are

#1 - Zerosuit connor with 8689 points - 4th April 11:56pm
#2 - Varia with 8535 points - 5th April 02:16pm
#3 - MirkoD with 7632 points - 3rd April 05:31pm
#4 - SpongeFreak52 with 7604 points - 31st March 08:54pm
#5 - RupeeClock with 7371 points - 6th April 08:01pm

I gotta say I'm impressed with the perseverance you guys showed, well done to y'all! :)
In the end, when that mcopo guy bumped me to 6th, I tried using JoyToKey.exe to map the keyboard controls to my USB connected SNES pad.
I was able to play the game so much better than using my keyboard, which gave me the edge I needed to push my score back up to 5th.

Did anybody else use something like JoyToKey to map the keyboard controls to a gamepad? I've use my SNES pad to play all sorts of flash games before and it always improves the experience greatly.

Sadly enough, I saw that mcopo tried to beat my score again today, but ended up scoring slightly less than before, on top of being after the deadline.

It's been a full week since the deadline closed now, and still no announcement. I'm concerned, this reflects on more than just this week's winners but also the past three.
