well...i launched the file and it gets to the gameboy advance screen right after where it says writing gba file to psram.
it doesnt even let me launch a file....how do i fix this?

There is no such thing as a GBA emulator for the DS. You HAVE TO HAVE a slot-2 cart do do this. If you do not, the program will fail to write to slot-2 and the switch to gba mode regardless.

Was it "GBAtemp.net :: Downloads :: NDS - Applications :: GBA_Emulator_For_DS", a file on the GBAtemp download center which has been deleted?
yes. its this

Like THEY SAID (^^), I'm not going to flame u, but slot 1s can only play GBA Games if it supports it internally (with a expansion pack it supports), or u could do it by using Rudolph's GBAExpLoader.

The only GBA emulator for DS was a proof of concept and only ran a few things very poorly IIRC. So act as if it never existed and get a slot 2 cart if you want to play GBA.

uh there is a gba emulator for DS.. GBAexploader, but you need a slot 2 expansion pack to use it

That's not an emulator. It's a program that can manage slot 2 expansion carts such as the EZ 3in1. The EZ 3in1 is basically a castrated EZ4 and GBA gaming is it's main function.

Note: I am not an idiot.

I'm interested in this proof of concept GBA emulator. Who made it? Did it get a public release at all? I don't plan on playing GBA games on it or anything, I'm just curious about it.

Technically it's not an emulator but a loader. Two very different things. It simply manage to write the GBA rom to the slot-2 device, switch the Nintendo DS in GBA mode and write back the save file on the Slot-1 device to avoid loosing the save state when unloading the slot-2 memory.
