Hardware GBA SP "R" Trigger not working

Hey guys

Gameboy Advance SP. Right trigger is not working. Tried IPA and then eventually soldered a new one. It worked for awhile then sporadically works and then stops. Is there a way to check with a multi meter? Could the button be faulty or a MB issue while replacing
I saw a post of someone running a jumper wire from the CPU to Test point to get it working

Sorry to bring this old post, but I'm facing a similar issue I guess.

I replaced the trigger for a new one and still is not working :c
Could you tell me what you did? or if you have any advise to solve it?
