Ok so I bought a second hand PSP for few euro
I always have been told that a great GBA emulator would be a PSP rather than a Nintendo DS
So I downloaded and installed gpSP
The resolution is so damn awful. I love pixel style games but c'mon it's impossible to play.

Downscaled size hurts my eyes
Normal size is just an envelope stamp

Filtered looks blurry as hell and non-filtered looks totally wrong

How to improve it?

First of all use scaled 3:2, not 16:9! Another setting you should change is screen filtering. Disable screen filtering. All it does is blur the pixels which makes games looks worse imo. With those 2 settings GBA games should look decent.

Then, what's left is to manually scale the display. Like slaphappygamer said, try something like 80% and move from there until everything looks right.

Just make sure to have the latest GBA emulator. You can find it here
