I need a current tutorial to get Gateway working on US version N3DS XL. Does anyone have a link to a tutorial that works? I've looked but there doesn't seem to be consensus and what I'm trying now isn't working.

Man I'm ripping my hair out right now. I've had the gateway working on my JPN N3DS but for whatever reason, it started to black screen after the dragon logo. I couldn't get that figured out and the Japanese text was making things worse. I attempted to change the Region. Spent several hours but still couldn't wrap my head around it. Said screw it and am now just wanting to get my US N3DS working with the Gateway. (The US one was just going to be a backup to make sure I have a viable system in the future in case you were wondering. The JPN one was purchased because nobody knew if the USA consoles would ship with a viable FW.)
The problem is, I can't make heads or tails of what I'm doing wrong. Most the tutorials I am seeing are talking about the Web exploit. When I try to use that it just says Gateway 3ds now loading... but never does anything. Gar! I have a sky3ds blue button as well but my attempts so far have been thwarted. (Ocarina Save file isn't recognized) Also, my blue card is crashing to the black screen error message.
I've done all this before, but for whatever reason the steps seem to have changed and it's being an absolute pill right now. Please help!
