Guide me through it if you may. I tried making sense, thinking you were just adding the amount on the next line to reach the next address but that isn't it and I don't know what's going on there.
You set the offset for the lowest address that was in the code, and then added to the offset each line to reach the next address, while editing it's value?
Well, after a day of experimenting with values and addresses for Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, I got somewhere. The way the game handles its levels and it's "ranks" are weird. Changing the value of the player's level immediately returns the rank to Mushroom, so I'm not entirely sure how to edit it's ranks. But, regardless, I was able to make a few codes for it.
I'll return later with a cheat for coins. And as for your other request for Giant Battles HP, I'm not exactly sure how it's handled, since it's a health bar instead of a stat. And honestly I'm already bothered enough dealing with how Dream Team handles edited values without crashing horribly. Coins should be easier to deal with, but right now I'm just tired. xD
Also, one annoying problem I have is that the player's current HP isn't true unlimited, you can take damage, but since DEF is so high, you only take about 1-2 damage. I don't know how to get the code to infinitely loop the current HP's value to keep it at max, BP as well, but other than that everything's fine.
Once I get the coins code out, I'll post all my Dream Team research for others to look at, and if they want to find other addresses and values for things like equipment, and such, feel free. This is one of those types of games where there's a bunch of values and addresses, and I only just started hacking games. I'd rather not overload myself with large tasks such as that.
no need to make it look so complicated when all your address are less than 10000000

Press Select on the home menu for the Gateway selection
Press Up for the extra options
Set your desired button combo
Load game
Press the set button combo
Configure cheats
Select any cheats you've put on
^That should cover everything. If there are no cheats on the configure cheats menu, check the file name of the .txt file matches the game ID.

Do you have the cheats folder in the memory card of your flashcart? It doesn't go into the system's memory card.
I swear every few pages someone is doing that mistake lol.
Hi guys, small question.
I wanted to play Pokemon OR again but this time I wanted to go through the story with a shiny starter. (And I also want a cool shiny starter in the credits in fact )
Would it be possible to get a Pokemon OR cheat that "force" the shininess? (it exists on every Pokemon games since years but as we are only at the beginning of the real cheats...)

I'm sure it's possible, but it seems tough. If you don't want to wait for somebody to come up with something like that, you can always start your game as normal, extract it with SaveDataFiler, then use PKHeX to make your starter shiny. Or the alternative is to soft reset. I did the latter and it took 30 hours, so the choice is yours
If I turn my starter into a shiny one, it wont be shiny in the credit And I don't think there is a way to edit ending scenes.
I guess I should soft reset.. But eh, I did it on older games... I don't have time to do that anymore On SS, it took me more than 1500 resets to get my shiny starter. (Cyndaquil, I love Cyndaquil.)
Yeah. I have to admit that I actually didn't find the addresses. I found a decompiled pastebin of the ntr cheat plug-in and simply wrote a Gateshark code that writes to the addresses in question.

it's pretty easy to reverse what is a really small piece of code. Knowing for a fact that the code started at 0x118 (as it does in the plugin example) also helped a lot.
Try it yourself, I'd say. Open up IDA, go to 0x15C, and it all suddently becomes clear.
