Hi!

I tried search function with several keywords and didn't find anything so that's the reason I made this thread.

I have old 3ds xl with fw 4.3.0-10E and I haven't done a single update on it. I bought gateway 3ds (blue and red card) and installed it succesfully and played with it for approximately 7 months. Not too long ago I bought Acekard 2 for old DS game backups and played those with no problem of any sort. This is the first time after using Acekard I'm using the gateway red card to play my backups for 3ds games, but my 3ds isn't reading the card.

When I turn 3ds on it shows the gamecart spot empty if the red card is in 3ds, but normal 3ds games do read and show on the spot when inserted (including Acekard2). I've tried to clean my 3ds, red card and memory card but to no avail. Is the red card broken or is there somesort different problem? If you guys could help or guide to right place I would appreciate it!

Are you even booting into Gateway? Like using the Profile button method or the browser one?
It won't just magically show up right after powering on the console. Remember that it's different from a DS flashcart. You need to boot into Gateway first.

While in the gateway menu insert the red card and run a diagnostic test post your results for us please.

I did the diagnostic test as you said it gave following results:
FPGA test: ok!
SPI test: ok!
SPI read test: ok!
SD test: Exfat

But it still doesn't show up in the menu, but apparently the card itself isn't broken?

The gateway system version is following: Gateway 3ds ultra v3.0.4

Yes I've tried booting using the browser one. It hasn't changed the problem :/

Thanks for the replies!

Just wondering, how did you use your Gateway if you didn't use the Select button? Also, if you go to the Gateway website there are PDF files that are manuals for setting up land using Gateway on both old and new 3DS.

He probably used the select button but had forgotten about it.
