I thought downloading stuff directly to your SD card can brick it or damage your flash card?
I'm not quite sure on this. I do know that on my acekard when I interrupted a download it got some errors and I had to run a checkdisk for like an hour to fix the card (without deleting any files)

This was after attempting to format it multiple times, I found check disk was the only thing that fixed it lolz

Oops this was a long story

Thank you

About the data damage it could be possible ONLY if you make some strange operation (like poweroff the consolle while downloading/installing a file)...but it could happens even with every game both homebrew or commercial (try to power off the DS while game is saving and you wil see

)

hey, ive downloaded a couple of homebrews with this, great work .:Mik:.
it actually works on sakura too =)
just a couple of questions...
-why dont the "top40" games show their size.

-concerning the whole "bork ur memory" thing, does that mean if the router shuts off or somesuch, that will break it, or is it just if you shut off your ds?

I got this to work once and never again; although I did try numerous times as it seems like an interesting concept. Everything works fine until it gets to the "loading URL list" part, then it just keeps loading and loading and loading. I do notice that it does create a text file on the root directory of my SD. I have a Cyclods Evo but I hope that my problem is a consequence of my own error, this way, it is fixable

So:
- because by now it doesn't support the size visualization in the top40 list

(I think that it could be a future improvement)

- like all the softwares (hb and/or commercial games too) if you shut off your DS while the sw is writing datas in memory, some files could be lost. This could happens if you poweroff the console while downloading or installing...I don't think that the lost of connection or any strange operation concerning router could cause it...but the prudence is never enought

Are you using a router connection or do you use an AP key such as WiFiMAX? It could be due by the number of users connected simultaneously to the server...let's do some other tests and let me know.

@hacker07: I don't know...this first release is quite new by now

i am truly glad that someone developed a bit of software such as this for the ds
smile.gif
i tested it on a ds-x (gasp) and it works just fine, save one small problem. all downloaded files end up in the root directory of the card, while the ds-x requires .nds files to be located in the "apps" folder. so, it seems the only way for me to run the downloaded apps is to connect my card to my computer and shuffle the files around. certainly an inconvenience, but i still love the fact that you have created a centralized place to view and rate apps, see preview images, and download direct to the ds!

if there were any way you could allow the user to select where the files end up, or perhaps hardcode a ds-x option, i am sure myself and the 8 other ds-x users would be greatful
