A faithful remake of Perfect Dark, exactly the same, just with higher poly models and environments, and higher res textures.
Basically just a port of the XBLA version you're saying. And I'll disagree on this, there's no reason to play Perfect Dark unless you're playing around a TV with a bunch of buddies.
Why do you keep saying that? Perfect Dark would be fun alone because if it's amazing campaign and possible online play. If you want to crowd around your TV with your buddies, break out your N64.
It's single player is not worth the game. It's fun but you can play through it in a couple of hours and go back for the additional objectives on higher difficulties if you REALLY want, but you can't even do co-op or counter-op to liven things up if you're strictly talking single player. And there's games built on local multiplayer. SSBB was a great local multiplayer game but was absolute horse shit online. Not only was it slow and laggy, but it was boring. You just went on there and played random matches for no reason.
Perfect Dark is just a game built on local multiplayer. I mean, I played it online with my friends on my 360, but it's definitely not as fun as having them in the room. Maybe nowadays people are becoming so antisocial and isolated that they don't believe in getting a couple of friends over to shout profanities at each other while playing games (which my friend and I did recently for Kirby's Epic Yarn, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and Devil May Cry 3), but it's the only way to play some games. Online doesn't cut it for Perfect Dark or say Super Smash Bros., they're games built around close friendships and bawwing at each other face to face. Online just isn't a substitute for local multiplayer I'm saying, which I must say is a downfall for a lot of games nowadays.
The XBLA version of Perfect Dark is superior to the N64 version. Don't try to act nostalgic, there is simply little argument in saying the N64 version is better. The XBLA version has twice the framerate, online functions, Goldeneye maps and weapons for multiplayer, better graphics, dual analog control, and it all still runs on the same gameplay engine. It keeps all the local multiplayer modes and also allows them for online. It's better than the original.
