House of the Dead 2/3 works after being patched to IOS249 with IOSPatcher. Same for Metal Slug Anth.

well it didnt work, I dragged the img file onto the IOSpatcher.exe then input "249" clicked continue and it said succesful then I burned the image file Im still getting the same problem with House of the dead return 2/3

Heres the thing, I have a patched version of the game and a 1:1 of house of the dead niether seem to work, I cant even get the game to get to the safety screen.

For the 1:1 I burned it using img burn and for the patched version I used IOS patcher from waninkoko.

I dragged the img file to IOS patcher and i got a message saying input an IOS version 9 or higher, so i typed 249 pressed enter and half a second later it said successful so i pressed enter since no other key would work, I then burned the img file again, got the same problem, a blank screen.

Can somebody please help since I know have 3 useless coasters and I dont want a fourth ¬_¬

If you reopen the patched .iso with the IOS Version patcher, it should tell you which IOS the game is set to use, try it.

and what do you the game is set to use? After I patch it should the game I just patched be, well patched and ready to burn?

if you have cios installed to 247 then it might not work, try using the any title deleter to see if you have 249, if not use multi cios installer to install it on 249 or use wiigator original installer

if you dont want to do that then repatch the iso to 247 and burn

On the dvd there's a file called tmd. In this file some info about the application (the binary from the game) is stored. When a loader, the disc channel is a loader too for this, loads a game, it has to start a IOS which shall be used by the game. Normally games just runs with the IOS loaded before the game was started, but the games which need the patching look for themselves in their tmd which IOS to use and load it. So if you store IOS249 there and run the game, the game starts IOS249.

Ok repatched to IOS 249 for the second time with cIOS patcher 1.1 I have 249 already installed so hopefully it works this time....i hope to god >_<

Sorry, i should have read more attentively. I thought if you run the game unpatched, you get to a selection menu and can play one of the 2 games. Is game region = wii region? If yes, backup the game again, there might be something wrong with it. Maybe you just use an old cIOS, could be possible too.

You are from the us and the game is PAL. Run it in SoftChip with disc settings video mode, or in Gamma with forced PAL 60.

Ok im gonna try this with metal slug now, if it doesnt work im giving up and explaining to my dad why I had throw so many dvd-r+ in the bin

Could still be that you use the wrong cIOS.

Have you used the media you are trying to burn the games on before? My Wii, for example is very picky on what it will play and what it wont. I will play DVD -R's without issues regardless of brand or speed burned at (typically burn at 3x-6x) but I can not play anything DVD +R. I have tried 6 different brands from 2.4x to 16x. It just doesn't like any +R's (sometimes it will play for a few minutes, other times just black screens)

Well metal slug worked perfectly, I did exactly the same thing for house of the dead but it wouldnt work

And dvd-r's all work
