Ok my bro has just cleard it, i'm half way true.
So any games with the same type of game play ?

PSP or PS(X) games? I would eiter way say all the other FF games, Suikoden as well maybe?

If by similar you mean the way battling is done the closest I can think of is the "Tales of" series in which you actually fight with your character in battle instead of the more traditional Active Time Battle system.

Dissidia is similar
not really, dissidia is a full 3D fighter.

closest i can think of that hasn't been mentioned, phantasy star portable.
fighting is a little more realtime though.

Ugh, I couldn't stand the FFVII CC gameplay.
The camera angle, confined battle area, the SLOTS shit, the levelling system.. ugh.

I really appreciated the story, but that's really it.

qft. I felt like I was suffering through the battles just to experience the story. I did a few missions, like 2 or 3, but they were so boring. the story was good though.

Honestly, how can ANY RPG consider the levelling system to be based on luck? That's just.. stupid.

RIP Zack.

Seriously, and not being able to pick when to use summons.. I know they were trying to do something different and have a more 'action-rpg', but it was just stupid I thought.

it's not purely by luck, there's a hidden exp value, the nearer that thing is to your level exp requirement, more chances to get a level up, materia level up is more or less moggling your way

Yeah, I know. But I still really prefer the traditional levelling system where you get EXP after every battle. >.>
I honestly don't know where the slots thing came from.

But on-topic, Phantasy Star is really the only thing remotely close to this I suppose. Not many games like this. :S
