Hi,

I need some advice, what game will be good for a 6 year old girl ? She can't read yet, but I can help her a little bit at the beginning.

Thx in advance !

well he is saying to help his child learning at beginning.
I thought he meant he could do all the 'Press Start to Play' and entering names at the beginning of the game allowing the child to enjoy randomly mashing buttons during actual gameplay.

Here is a list of the games my boy has been playing over the last couple of years. He has just turned 6.
The only game he seems to want to play now is Pokemon Platinum. He needs a little help to get through some of the bits in Pokemon as reading is not his strong point but he does most of it on his own.

This list is a little large.
It is everything currently on his cart. He is capable of playing all the games listed. There are a couple he messes around with but probably doesn't full grasp the game.

New Super Mario Bros
Sonic Rush Adventure
Shrek - Smash n' Crash Racing
Asphalt - Urban GT 2
Mario Party DS
DK - Jungle Climber
Pokemon Diamond
Garfield's Nightmare
Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
Jump! Ultimate Stars
Mario Kart DS
Mario & Luigi - Partners in Time
Sonic Rush
Super Mario 64 DS
Kirby - Power Paintbrush
Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Ben 10 - Protector of Earth
Yoshi Touch & Go
Yoshi's Island DS
Cars - Race-O-Rama
Sideswiped
Marvel Super Hero Squad
Where's Waldo - The Fantastic Journey
DiRT 2
Ben 10 - Alien Force
Mario & Luigi - Bowser's Inside Story
Monster Jam - Urban Assault
Pokemon - Platinum Version
MySims - Racing
Sam Power - Handyman
Sonic & Sega - All Star Racing
Pokemon - SoulSilver
Pokemon - HeartGold
Boulder Dash - Rocks!
Cars Mater-National Championship
GRID
Hot Wheels - Beat That!
LEGO Batman - The Videogame
Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe
LEGO Star Wars - The Complete Saga
LEGO Indiana Jones - The Original Adventures
Mini Ninjas
Need for Speed - ProStreet
Legendary Starfy, The
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground
Speed Racer - The Videogame

You do know that most of these games require basic reading knowledge?

I don't know about you but I hate it when kids ask "WHAT DO I DO" every minute.

Oh my god I hate that, I try not to scream at them "Bloody well figure it out yourself, I did". Most games on the DS are pretty straight forward though so it's all good.

You should get Animal Crossing Wild World. It is a great game she can get into at a slow pace. It's like a life sim where you dig, fish, and farm and it's very addicting. It it's a great game for kids. I even like to play the Wii version sometimes. It's one of those games you cant be in a bad mood when you play. It's also one of the most popular games on the NDS.

I had a feeling someone'd mention Canvas Curse/Power Paintbrush. (Mantis41)

If she treats the touch screen properly then playing it would be nice and colourful.

It’s not like that at all.
He can play for hours without asking for help. It then just takes 10 mins to do a couple of things in the right sequence and he is off again.

He understands how to fix paralyze, poison, and other ailments and knows how to catch Pokemon and use the storage system on his own. He has also figured out how to give his Pokemon battle items and transfer them to and from the bag and storage and has a good grasp of the battle sequence and which moves work and when. He is almost at the stage where he doesn't need help at all he just keeps talking to everyone until he is let through to the next area. It seems to work even though he may not understand the underlying story. He only gets stuck every now and then.

Here’s a tip. If you want your Pokemon to go up levels quickly then give it to a 6 year old. They can spend hours doing random encounters and not get bored.

It can be educational for them as well. It is actually teaching him to read. He is picking up words from the game daily. I find he also picks up a lot of math from playing games.

A game for a 6 year old girl?
Have you tried the game "Mum, I did it! (Girl)"
It is a game that is for younger girls will teach some things.
