GameFAQs forums now has Private Messaging, Friends List

Great.....what all the new people wanted and all the oldies had learned to do without and enjoyed the site all the more for it's difference.

That was fixed....update the theme to Retro's classic 2001-2003 look.

It's a massive change for anyone who actually uses GameFAQ's!

It's still a terrible website.

It'll be news worthy once they announce all of the current staff have been fired and replaced with sane people.

Especially that transperson who will ban you if you refer to their gender incorrectly (assuming they're still there).

edit: and the current community purged and replaced with sane people too.

Sheesh, it's 2011 and only now are they actually adding rudimentary forum features.
What's next, avatars? It's remarkable that they don't even have THAT.

How about a freakin' EDIT BUTTON?!

That always pissed me off about GameFAQs. If you want to actually edit your posts, you have to log in to Gamespot.

Like I'm really going to use PMs or a friends list on GameFAQs. I read, I leave. At least let me correct my mistakes!

Grrrr.

They have an edit post function on Gamefaqs.....

And Law Schmendricks Folly is no longer a mod....

Aaactually, they finally added one.
But you have to be a level 32 user, and you're only allowed 5 edits, within the hour you posted the message.
So got an important first-post you need to update? TOO BAD.

Silly allen still hasn't added the spoiler tags he promised, oh well i still love gamefaqs.

but rydian, it makes the page more presentable and the layout more flexible for users to read through ie. one can select exactly what he wants
dont they have a text version download? *goes to check*

Yup....i have hundreds of text faqs saved.

That's not Gamefaq's that's the user. It was an option for new faq writers but few have actually gone for it...seems you have bad luck if the stuff you want is in that format by the writers choice.

One game I was looking up, there was one only FAQ, and it was in that format.
