Hardware Gamecube saving problem...Please Help!

BIOS folder: root://ZGX/bios/bios.bin Games folder: root://ZGX/games Games can be CHD or CUE+BIN, the latter is the most compatible, some games do not work on CHD yet. Backup RAM folder: root://ZGX/saves - Since build 20260803B and onwards, 240p mode is enabled by pressing Z+Y (Gamecube controller) / ZL+ZR (Wii Classic Controller / Wii U Pro Controller) on the emulator menu. This will create an empty 240p.txt file inside root://ZGX. It will delete it again when you disable it. Reload the emulator to save the setting and activate it on next boot. - The 4M RAM cartridge is always OFF at boot. Enable it only when your game needs it. Recommended BIOS: Saturn USA 1.00 (most compatible) Controls - emulator game list: D-pad Up/Down = move through the list Hold D-pad Up/Down = continuous scroll (fast) D-pad Left/Right = jump by page A = start selected game B = exit to loader L+R = toggle 4M RAM cartridge ON/OFF Z+Y = toggle 240p for supported displays (Gamecube controller) ZL+ZR = toggle 240p for supported displays (Wii Classic Controller / Wii U Pro Controller) Controls - in-game: Start+Z = exit game back to emulator (Gamecube controller) Home = exit game back to emulator (Wii Classic Controller / Wii U Pro Controller) L+R+Start = toggle sound (muting gains some fps) . Shows "SND OFF". QoL suggestions for Z-GX: - 4:3 or stretched 16:9 aspect ratio setting. - Enable/Disable FPS counter. (it is always enabled) - Sub-folders support. - Long name autoscroll on the list could be a bit faster. (IMPLEMENTED in build 20260803A) - Option to pick any Saturn BIOS file. - Turbo toggle to fast-forward. - Selection of RAM/ROM cartridge type to use. Known bugs: - Toggling the sound OFF hangs the emulator. - Saves are not working. (since 20260729 build) (FIXED in build 20260811B) - Title name on the game list disappears when it finishes scrolling. - Have at least 24 games. Position the cursor in slot 000, 001, 002, 003, or 004, press right to go down one page. Now keep pressing Up like you wanted to go back to slot 014 or further, the list won't scroll, but the names will. You will only notice visually if you have your covers assigned. - When you launch the emulator from USB, games/art on the device will be ignored if a SD card is also inserted with the same Z-GX folder structure. SD will be prioritized. - When you launch the emulator from USB, and there is a SD card inserted without the Z-GX folder structure present, it will DSI crash. - Cover files do not load when you start the emulator from a USB device, yet it will load them if a SD card with the files is inserted before emulator launch. (FIXED in build 20260803B) - 240p.txt file is not detected or generated when you launch the emulator from a USB device. (FIXED in build 20260803A) - 240p mode is not working when you launch the emulator from a USB device. I have a Wii + Wiikey.

So yesterday I wanted to try some Gamecube games. So I made a multigame disc and put in a 4 Mb Gamecube Memory Card in the Gamecube memory slot.
Still I get the message with every game that there's no memory card in the slot, so I cannot save!!!
Am I doing something wrong? I really don't know what to do...

Get a new memory card? Your already stealing the games at least get a new memory card.

Well you're right about the stealing. But I bought the memory card yesterday and it's brand new!

Do I have to format it or is it Wiikey related? Has anybody encountered this problem?

By the way it's from Logic3 and it says it is 4mb/59 blocks, uncompressed memory.

Okay I found out what the problem was. the memory card's pins did not make good contact with the wii's contacts. So I used some scotch tape to make it fit better and now it works!!
