To do this trick all you need are these things, Gamecube, Format wanting memory card and controller (obvious).
When you are doing this trick I am not responsible for your actions and if you lose all your saves doing this. First go to the memory card screen and when the memory card asks you to format choose format and press "A", now it should say are you sure you want to do this? When you have this message up hover over the "yes" sign then really quickly press "A" and pull out the memory card at the same time this is really hard to do so please keep trying this guide and it should work if you get it to work then after it should say this memory card was not formatted and press "A" and their you go you have all your saves back instead of formatting. I will probably make a video but for now my memory card is not formatting and I have a crappy camera plus I don't feel like it.

Wow, that's pretty useful!! My MadCatz would always ask to format once a year, and I ended up doing it, but that was when I had a GameCube, I'm using the same memory card on my Wii, but I don't know if that trick was patched on the Wii. I haven't been asked to format the card on my Wii yet though. I'll test it on the Wii if it ever asks.

P.S I think this trick was never found by people online. Plus I was never taught how to do this unless you think I did not teach it to other people except for this forum and to my self and others.

Let me get this straight... this "trick" lets you click format... and not format the card (since it's out of the reader)... and this benefits me... how?

never was asked to format my memory card oo
but i always had original cards so maybe this doesnt concern me at all

It tricks the card into thinking it formatted without formatting.

I was asking about the benefit of doing so since my memory card's file system never got corrupt. ;) Now I know that it does occur, I wasn't aware of that being a frequent issue when I was posting earlier.

True... But, normal cards get corrupt sometimes too if your doing save transfers....
