There is a tool called NSRT which will inspect a SNES ROM for any discrepancies, like if its been hacked. It will then fix the ROM and make sure you know that if it says European then it is.. basically confirming the data of the ROM. I am hunting for a tool that will work with GameBoy games, I know there are several generations of GB from DMG, CGB, GBP...

All of these may require separate tools and NSRT has had a lot of effort put into it and its a single platform only tool.

Anybody know?

If you want rom checking then a lot of the rom checker have dats from other systems.

http://www.advanscene.com/ (no dats but a lot of info)

NSRT is a different grade of tool though (nothing I know of has inbuilt fixing beyond the header but there are loads of IPS patches: http://arcvoreppin.free.fr/ips/

FAT aka flash advance toolkit is worth having as well:

Thanks for all the links, a few I had/had not seen, some broken... The problem persists though, I can find any dats that uCON64 will accept for the GB (original)/CGB

but I did get some luck with the GBA. Nt even the no-intro dats work with uCON64. what to do...

A ha, I was given this old GoodTools dat for the GameBoy (DMG) and works with uCON64! its an old one but it works! Get it here:

I am going to have to wait now though for the dat-o-matic dats that no-intro provide, my sources tell me that they will be uploading SNES dats very soon, then genesis and then GameBoy with proofing to start late October, so can't wait!
