Hacking Game updates required?

Hi,

I have a lot of older nsp and xci games (e.g. BOTW v. 1.0.0) that I've been playing with sx os since around the OFW 3.0 time. I never update my nsp or xci files because I don't really mind if there are bugs, etc. However, if I update from 3.0 to 8.0.1 is it possible that I may be forced/required to update these old games in order for them to launch? I anticipate the update nag when launching the games, and can tolerate that. But, I want to make sure I don't find that my old version 1.0.0 xci or nsp won't launch at an all without an update.

When you update your firmware, the console will most likely know that there are newer updates available for the game however you should be able to play the games without updating. You may simply be pestered by an update window every time you open the game.
