Ok, well sure I like lots of different kinds of games, especially ones I can just pick up and play for a lil bit when I am bored. Traditional RPGs bore me though (like where you select fight , magic etc lije original ff).

Games I like are:
New castlevania or metroidvania
Action RPGs (got fantasy life its awesome)
Strategy RPGs like ff tactics but have to be in the mood to play
Arcade games (first game system was a 2600)
Some puzzle games, like tetris or chips challenge
1st and 3rd person shooters
Shootemups def like them like either old school or nano assault (have it)
So any suggestions
Especially 3dsware but retail is cool too

Every Fire Emblem GBA game and Fire Emblem Path of Radiance if you can get your hands on it. You might also like some professor Layton or Phoenix Wright if you're into games that require critical thinking. Xenoblade Chronicles and the Monster Hunter games are good as well.

i played monster hunter 3, its ok, the world is too small though, have gen, didn't play it yet.

never tried a professor Layton or phoenix wright game,, I guess the names threw me off and looked like lil kid games,
are there any shooter/arcade games in the eshop? just curious

what kind of jrpg's are they? I am not that into the standard ones like ffx, or whatever, I like to take real action when I play rpg's, to me the standard is old, outdated and boring.

well some examples of games I like, um,, obviously ff tactics,
geometry wars
pixel dungeon (found one called the binding of Isaac that is kinda like that,, it's awesome)
elder scroll games
the mana series (cept the first snes one sucks)
contra
Metroid vanias

and I have 3 AND mh gens,, so is 4 really that much better?

yes, 4 is MUCH better. and as for smt......try 4 and apocslypse, you wont regret it, read a few reviews and youll get the overall feal of the games.

How's this with shin mt, I guess you would call them turn based RPGs, which suck lol. OK the story looks awesome and I might try them sometime, but I'm looking for action RPGs most of all in that category, but wondering if there are any cool arcade style games, shoot em ups, or rogue like games like binding of Isaac would be cool too.

Stella Glow is a Strategy RPG.
Xenoblade Chronicles JRPG but with Action Combat.
Ghost Trick (for DS), Picross Games, Box Boy Games, Pushmo for Puzzles

So I saw one game called liberation maiden that looks awesome
Stella glow looks cool
Box boy looks cool
One day might check out xenoblade
The reviews for it are good.
