could someone recommend a game that has a compelling romantic story line in the background.

by compelling i mean final fantasy style, where you actually hope they get together at the end.
not mario style, where your f***ing princess is in another castle.

i have currently ordered tales of vesperia from Mr torentez
ph34r.gif
but that won't be complete for another couple of days.
hope its as good as they say it is.

That's an oxymoron.

Anywhos, I can't really help you, but what I can do is give you this bit of advice - Torrents suck ass, and are slow unless you have a badass connection. If you want real speed, research this wonderful program called Cryptload (jDownloader/UniversalShareDownloader/eLephant also work) and find yourself a megaupload or rapidshare link sharing forum. Things that would usually take days to download will take hours through one of these programs.

Actually, I'm not far enough into the game to determine whether or not there's anything really romantic between the Prince and Elika, but holy shit you need to get PoP. Everyone does. It looks amazing, it plays amazing, it amazes... amazingly.

I'm kinda stumped on the romantic storyline thing too. If you haven't tried it I'd recommend Mass Effect. Sweet RPG and there is a love story but it's more of a side quest and may not be as integral as you're looking for.

On a related note this cryptload intrigues me *goes off to research*

and if you really want really really fast d/l you will just subscribe to a newsgroup provider.. whatever your max d/l speed is.. thats how fast you d/l. only draw back is it costs around $11 a month.

aw i quite liked the series. not all of it but a lot of the parts. i was pretty much in
wub.gif
with rinoa while i was palying FFVI.
i'll definately give the cryptload thing a look. but i'm quite happy with torrents.
it generally takes me two/four days to download a new game. thats perfect cuz thats generally how much time i need to finish the one i'm on before it.

i probably should have mentioned i'm a big fan of jrpg's and watch a lotta anime.

i tried mass effect, just wasn't my thing. i lean more towards dead space and COD.

I typically enjoy them but while I have enjoyed all of the modern FFs (except VIII, heh heh), none of them except for IX and maybe XII stand out as 'exceptional' in my mind. IX was also the only one with a love story that was worth a damn, though VIII's wasn't bad.

If you configure Cryptload right, you'll have downloads completed mere hours after wanting them.

Now this I can agree with. Mass Effect just didn't do it for me either, though I can certainly see its appeal.

imgburn. Also I noticed you're from the UK. You know the NTSC Tales of Vesperia will not work on PAL Systems right? The game isn't region free.

shit.

i'm currently dl'ing it but theres no nfo file attached.

i bought my console from asia (premodded) so i have no idea whether its pal or ntsc.

The usa one is region locked only for pal regions (no surprise there
rolleyes.gif
), so if it's a USA , Asian or Japanese system , should be fine , if it's a PAL console , then you're screwed.

smile.gif
, should be fine then. If you've got original box you can always check there as well. On the label with the lot number , it should say for distribution in X countries.

it is runnin baby.

bit of a miss-hap the first time round... i accidently burnt the iso file itself to the disk instead of its contents

the second try worked out perfectly though
