Disgaea 2 doesn't work on my 5.00 M33-6 too... even with UMD in it (tried both M33 and Sony drivers)...

damn, i don't want upgrade to GEN 5.50, i know there are issues with some plugins and homebrews...

All Plugins Enabled

Disgaea 2 USA boots (NO UMD required)

Gran Turismo Portable boots (NO UMD required)

Way of the Samurai 2 portable (侍道２ポータブル) boots (NO UMD required)*

As said, Disgaea 2 with No UMD is working fine on GEN-B2, but I'm running in to the problem of it not playing the way it should. There is a slight lag when popping open menus that prevents you from quickly going to the Move option. It's quite bothersome. My CPU is 333 so I really don't know what could be the problem. Looking at youtube videos for the legit US version though, this problem does not exist. Oh well...

Edit: And I've seem to have found the problem. The CPU Bus is running at 111 when the CPU is set to 333/166. When I open a menu in game, the Bus jumps to 166 causing the brief lag spike. Then it drops back to 111 after closing the menu. I wonder what is causing it to do this...

Word. Good looks nIxx for the patch. Also got Persona to work. At least this proves that the method does work it was just me screwing it up.

I did have to change from the M-33 driver to the Sony one, if anyone has a problem.

I'm on PSP2002, 5.50 GenB2 using M33 no UMD Driver:

Gran Turismo (US) - eboot patched, filelist exported and imported and edited version.txt

Works perfectly.

I am not that great when it comes to all this sort of stuff, but I have to say a big thanks to everyone who posts tutorials here. I was able to easily follow all the instructions to actually softmod my PSP on my own and now easily able to patch the new games.

If you are patient and follow the guides, all of this is pretty simple. There is no need to ask for patched files or iso's.

Since nobody seems to give a xxxx about PSP 3K with GEN A 5.03 running Game Decryptor, I might as well.

PSP 2K GEN-B2 5.50
DISGAEA 2 - works with no UMD/m33 device
PERSONA - works/SONY device (if on m33 it will stop after intro movie)
GRAN TURISMO - works/ m33 device
GUNSHOT AND DIAMOND - cannot repack after replacing EBOOT @ UMDGEN4

PSP 3K GEN A 5.03
DISGAEA 2 - Doesn't work
PERSONA - I wish
GRAN TURISMO - don't even care at this point

Whoever said @ the Game Decryptor tutorial that some games work on GEN 5.03, what games actually DO work?
I have both 2K and 3K with me and all the games have been tested by 2K first.
I used the patch NIXX made with Persona, but did decrypting myself with the other 3 games.

I know someone already mentioned GT is a no go on PSP 3K, but hey I had to try anyway xD
Kinda surprised Disgaea 2 didn't work though. Oh well.

The basic difference is, this one can decrypt Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2
