Looking for any info on the color of the gb micro link cable internal wires for the player 1 side and to see what pins on the plug side they correspond with. ie. red wire goes to pin 3, etc. I'm having a bit of difficulty accurately touching pins on the plug side with my multimeter, and so I thought I might ask and see if anyone has knowledge of this already so that I might save myself some headache. It's an official OXY-008 cable.

I wouldn't trust the colors as those sometimes change between production runs. If your probe is too thick consider taping a needle to one of them for the investigation.

Pinout if you have not got one
https://problemkaputt.de/gbatek.htm#auxlinkport
No colours though, whether that is an omission or a lack of a standard as mentioned above I do not know. My other usual source of pinouts ( https://pinoutguide.com/Game/ ) lacking much of anything here.

As above find a sewing pin or needle and use that to make a finer tip if your meter did not come with such things. Or alternatively use the gameboy itself as a breakout and probe the solder or if any then test points from the motherboard.

Nice resource. I had a chart but that is solid, so appreciated.
I'm working on getting a good connection; I've been attempting to avoid desoldering the wires from the link cable PCB, but given how I'm struggling to get good connections there, it looks like I will have to do the work anyway. I'll report what I find, maybe someone else will appreciate this info (assuming it is standardized after all).

Thought I would circle back on this since I have since done the work to success.
As it turns out, the colors from my cable were extremely similar to the normal GBA cable.
The color-pin relation were as follows:
pin 1 - blue
pin 2 - red
pin 3 - orange
pin 4 - brown
pin 5 - green
pin 6 - thick black

Note that the pins above are offset by 1 from either side, since the micro cable pins 1 and 8 are for charging. So on the chart from @FAST6191 's one link, pin 1 above is pin 2 there, pin 2 above is pin 3 here, etc.

Since pins 2-5 above are doing the same roles as on the AGB cable, it makes sense that they would do the same task and be colored the same way. As pointed out by others, however, one must make sure that they double-check before committing anything to solder.
