So recently, my grandmother's galaxy s4, my mother's galaxy s3, and my friend's galaxy s5 have all "died" because of a weird issue. So they've all used their (new) cellphones for at least one year, and when they turn it off to charge it one day,(while it is off) the next time they turned it on, it simply wouldn't. No vibration or any sign of turning on. We have tried recovery mode etc. And it still won't turn on. Any help please? They have worked fine the day before and now none of the phone will turn on.

All of them died? Voltage surge? EMP burst?

None, just a regular charge. No voltage boost or anything.

Then I guess it's just a one off thing that only happens with the galaxy series of phones. My G1, Mytouch, and Nexus are all fine even today.

Did they all let the battery drain to 0%? If so there's a possibility that the remaining voltage level is below recommended levels which depending on the implementation can make it really hard to make them charge again.

Now I don't feel bad, I'm slowly realizing that Galaxies are kind of cheap crap. My s4 cracked it's screen when I tossed it onto my freaking bed. On top of that, sometimes the phone will apparently stay "on" but the screen stays black, I'm forced to hold down the power button several times until it boots back up. I'm afraid if I go to upgrade the next time that it will actually be a downgrade.

Did something came up when you're charging and press the power button? An battery animation should come up. Maybe try it with another battery or charging station
