gadhaffi caught: moments like this are the reason why i refresh google news 39 times a day
Gaddafi dies of wounds
There are reports of his body being dragged through the street. I guess he isn't resting in peace after all.
BBC says he's dead.
Some people say he's captured, others have told me he's dead.
Either way, it doesn't directly impact my life in the least.
and while he was a murderer and dictator, he's still a human being and it throws a pretty bad light at everyone who is now dragging his body through the streets and everyone who is cheering that hes dead now.
I wonder what happened to his elite team of personal guards-women? I always said that I wanted to run a country with a army of maids but hell, Gadhafi made that into a reality in his own way. Lucky bastard, Well I guess he's not so lucky now, considering he's dead. Oh well, another dictator bites the dust!
Another dictator overthrown, people already queuing to sit on his spot.
When will people learn that those nations are not at the right stage of development to adjust to democracy? It's been years and years, and the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq is still rather tense despite the fact that "Our Troops" hoovered the extremists out of them.
It takes time, the culture needs to develop, the life standards need to be high enough, only then will those people be able to adapt to the new lifestyle. Untill then, one dictator will replace another - that is the tao of life.
...the riots and all in libya started without outside help.
he was killed by National Transitional Council of Libya troops, not by "our troops"
its a revolution just like any other revolution and as with most revolutions, something good might come out of it, even if its just another revolution until the dictators/military government understands that they wont bbe able to stay
Are you kidding?
If it wasn´t for NATO to help, he swould still be there, leading his regime...
Now the hard part begins with Libya trying to form a stable and fair government.
Well, this is an interesting turn of events. Then next few months are bound to be delightfully interesting to follow in the unbiased news about Libya.
Overall, I hope that peace and democracy can find some restoration there. Though I strongly hope that other countries will not get involved until Libya has reached this stage independantly.
Yeah he is dead
