If this is "the real thing" why the fugg isn't it in the Wii release list? It is a Wii ISO, no?
This was probably ripped by some home users, and not by people who consider themselves to be the warez scene.

Because it's NOT the real thing.

Waninkoko (great work

) dumped the apploader and placed it in a "empty" Wii iso. It still works, because that made the trick in the Datel version too. The original Datel one it's probably dump-protected.

So it's not a 1:1 dump, and it cannot be accepted by the Scene's rules.

Hey guys, I have a Wii updated to 3.2E with wiikey 1.9g
I want to play the original Brawl-US.
I downloaded the freeloader iso and burned it on a DVD+R
When I insert the DVD into my Wii it says: Unable to read disc.

Why doesnt it read it? Or how do I get brawl to work?

Thanks in advance.

That's strange. What version did you use? The 1GB one or the 2.5MB one?

Try the 1GB one, I used that and it worked great.

Also be sure you're using good quality support.

I deactivated wiikey region free and tried booting brawl with the freeloader.
Even with wii at 480p, only display a 480i signal.
Same with zelda tp ntsc, 480i only.
To check, i retried brawl with wiikey region free activated and it worked as before in 480p (the difference is quite visible).

Ok, but where can I download it? I can only find the 2.5mb file.

Thanks again!

EDIT** Yes I used the 2.5mb file and burned it at 4x speed.

The 2.5MB one is fine,
Do you got an modchip?
It could be bad media

Where do i get the most recent wiikey config disc? And I have a question, is the freeloader release you are talking about for pal machines or have you found it for usa machines as well?

edit: he's talking about the freeloader dvdr

report back if the retail version of ssb works with the freeloader please

thirded, I tried it with Trauma Center and the game boots perfectly. The problem is that the game displays everything in B&W...
(No RGB, tried 50hz & 60hz)

edit: The game also starts in 60hz mode when I select 50hz in the Wii option menu. Maybe that's the problem? It would still be kind of weird, 'cause other games like No More Heroes also work perfectly in 60hz mode....

edit2: I got the version of the cracked Freeloader from usenet, that's 2/3 MB, but 1,5 Gig (or something like that) when you extract the .zip file.

I don't think this will help me get any farther though.. I'm really desperate to make brawl work before the weekend. I burned the 2.5mb iso on DVD+R but my Wii can't read the dvdr somehow. Please halp? D:

Ok I did it with the 1 GB file and it made my screen flicker now. But when I put in the original Brawl Disc it says Cannot read disc. How can I fix this? I'm getting closer to brawling though!

Also, when my wii is loading brawl disc it makes a weird sound. Is that normal?

Or did I need to burn the 1 GB AND the 2.5MB files both?
