I was surprised by that too, but the Vita's list includes digital games in the same category (like FEZ), while there's a separate list for the 3DS's digital games. I'd say they have around the same amount of games by now, though.
I'm unwilling to count DSiWare as 3DS software - on the same token I might count PSN Minis as PSVita software. Then again, you have a point - some download software is 3DS-specific. That said, the PSVita list does not include PSMobile games and apps either... so yes, the two systems come close.

Uhh...unless by "digital games" you mean VC, it totally lists all the digital games.

And if you do mean VC, the Vita's list doesn't include any of the PSP/PSOne/PSP Minis. :teach:

I mean that games like Steamworld Dig are under a "download software" heading for the 3DS, but they're all under the same heading for the Vita and that the 3DS one might only include the retail games in that number.
I'm going to take a guess and say that I'm wrong though, since that seems unlikely on second thought.

That's the funny part - the PSVita appears to have more games than the 3DS at this point. No, no joke.

*Cough* *Cough* "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT SOOOOOOOOOOON!". :)

The 3D is a gimmick that people turn off after 5-15 minutes and the two screens are just that - two screens. Sorry, your arguments are pretty flat.

You know what's flat? The entertainment value of the games on the Vita. Yeah that's right. Quality over quantity. OHHHHHHHHHH SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT DID I JUST DO THAT I THINK I DID.

"The 3DS has more games!" "No, it doesn't." "...b-but they're better! And it has 3D!" "And shitty graphics to go with the gimmick." "...b-but it has two screens!" "Yeah. Shitty low-res screens (400x240+320x240 versus 960x544). Also No Bluetooth. And no multitouch. And terrible multimedia support. And a variety of other issues that make the 3DS a system outdated since Day 1." "Y-you're a meanie!"

I've condensed the conversation we were about to have into one post so that we may avoid it. You're welcome. :)

Also in rebuttal to your "gimmick" statement, if it's not important than why does Sony keep taking Nintendo's ideas ASAP? Wii - Playstation Move. DS touch screen - PS Vita's screen. Wii U's tablet controller - PS Vita being used as a tablet for the PS4.

Either way, you know I'm being sarcastic right? Nintendo is kinda sucking right now. I'm just glad they're at least trying something though, but they need to get their shit together.

The PSMove was in development long before the WiiMote, but I'll agree that the WiiMote's success contributed to its release. The DS's touchscreen is not the first on a gaming device and the PSVita has one not because of the DS's success, rather because of the advent of smartphones. The Wii U's tablet controller is not the first device that allowed off-screen play - the PSP called and it wants its privileges back.

And yes, I know you're being sarcastic, but a good deate is just good sport. :)

Or... You could continue on your path to enlightenment and buy a good console... like a PS4 or a PSVita...

Not ready for a PS4 just yet waiting for the exclusives to build up and a price drop, but I might get a Vita in 2-3 months, and maybe PS3 soon after.
Nintendo removing SwapNote made me sad, but adding GBA games to the Wii U and ignoring the 3DS is just plain dumb.

Honestly Atlus titles are the only reason I have a 3DS then there's probably a few probably 3 other games that interest me and about 3 eShop games I don't think that's much to keep me going.

Vita on the other hand has more games up my alley, and since I never owned a PSP I already have access to tons of games I wanted to try out and even though it's not as popular as the 3DS it's still getting good games at a decent rate which is more than I can say for the 3DS. Only con is memory card prices.

I'll admit, the memory card prices are a massive bummer, but they weren't a deal breaker to me. I got the 32GB card and since then the purchase brought quintuple returns due to PSPlus alone - it's always chuck-full of games and I can't even begin to imagine how it'd be like to use a 4 or 8GB one. I already have to go through the painful process of cycling through games monthly to pick the ones I play the least and uninstall them, and I have a feeling that even a 64GB one would eventually reach that point.

I was wondering how this thread turned into a 3DS/digital games discussion thread. Buy a Wii U, man, if you're feeling this bad about it. If you don't have any money, then you can beg, borrow, steal, or wait for some money to come in. :)

DON'T buy a Wii U. You'll probably end up hating Nintendo more.

Do your research.
