Hi all!

I have a wii console with the homebrew channel and the bootmi installed, so I can play games from an external hard drive.

My daughter just received a new game, Just dance 2020, and to play the game the console forces me to do an update of the system.

I did the update and after that I could no longer play the games I have in my external hard drive...

I had to re-install the homebrew and the bootmi again, but now I can´t play this new game.

Is there a way that I can play these new games without update the console? Or, is there a way to update the console without damaging this modifications I have in my console?

Hello,

reinstall your cios (2 possibilities available to you) by following this guide ==>https://wii.guide/cios

Or reinstall your cios like this (better compatibility for games with base 57 and cios 249) ==>

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 57
Select cIOS slot: 249
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 56
Select cIOS slot: 250
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 58
Select cIOS slot: 251
Select cIOS version: 65535

Then install priiloader to counter the updates ==>https://wii.guide/priiloader.html

The simplest solution is to block disk updates using priiloader hacks as previously suggested. This is a pretty standard step in any decent wii modding guide, the fact that it was overlooked makes me wonder what else might have been skipped. I suggest using Modmii's syscheck analyzer/wizard/guide to confirm if your mods are all optimal, and if not, ModMii will help you update only what's outdated. Alternatively, you could instead resoftmod from square 1 using Modmii's main wizard (or wii.guide) and it will overwrite any outdated mods as well as address anything missing
