ROM Hack Question Forager save game corrupt, any help?

Hi there,

I hope anybody con help me. My son was playing Forager for weeks on my hacked Switch. He was about Level 40. But when he was playing yesterday the game suddenly stopped working. If he tries to load again the last save we always get an error popup:

Error Code: 2-0000
######
Error in
action number 1
of <Unknown Event>

Is there any way to fix it? He was crying for hours.

You haven't made a backup before ?

Make a backup now, then delete the savegame and restore the savegame again.

Do you have the Hombrew menu with APPS ?

Take the APP "Checkpoint", make a backup with Checkpoint from the game and delete the savegame via the system settings from the switch and then restore with Checkpoint again.

And you are sure that this will work?

Maybe you're lucky.

When you make a backup with CheckPoint.
Does it only do what is necessary as a backup.
Not as the Switch does otherwise.

Then look into the backup where checkpoint made.
Maybe only one Config is defective and not the save.
