Nothing, but if it runs out during flashing, then your DS (and probably any warranty) is dead.

Just keep it plugged in to be safe

I've flashed my DS yesterday succesfully.

I had a lot of stress to do it, the first three times I made the connections and started the flashing process it just stayed at 0%, I thought shit I've killed my DS. But if you turn it of it comes back (only at 0% !!!).

So after trying different thing to make the connection I got a small torx and tried that.

The flash hang at 1% I thought shit, now it's really fucked up. And I knew to not shut it down. So i pushed the torx harder and voila, 2,3,4..... 100%.

Everything else I tried, like a small screwdriver, paperclip etc. didn't work for me..

A small jewellers screwdriver worked for me.

I would NOT recommend turning it off at all, just keep it on while you try different metal things. If the connection isnt made it just pauses the flash, and resumes it when the connection is remade.

Turning it off between 1 and 99 % will probably kill your DS.

from wut i read somewhere, as long as u make it past 10% u can reflash, but if u quit between 1-10, u get a brick. this was posted with one of the first releases, might've even been the betas, so i am not sure if it still applies.
