A couple friends of mine want me to flash their drives, and I said sure, because from what I read, it's pretty simple (Plug, run program, done). I won't know what brand drives they have until later today when I open the xbox up, so I was wondering, where could I find a complete and updated guide for flashing?

Also, shortly after saying I could do it, I remembered that I was poor and my computer uses IDE and the drive was sata. Soooo, I have one of these at my local computer store, will it work with the drive?

Unless things have changed you'll need a via 6421 chipset SATA controller. I don't know if they have changed cause all my pc's have 6421 via SATA chipsets so it does not concern me.

If you are doing it for multiple people, could always get them to split the cost of an x360 usb. Would solve your problem of no sata and has no issues with any of the drives.

You don't need a 6421 VIA SATA chipset. I've flashed multiple 360's with an Intel chipset in my desktop PC without any problems. As long as s/he doesn't have a Lite-on drive, you can probably flash it today if you can find a PC with SATA.

Its fun, I like it, even tho I'm not a big harry potter fan. Like a wizard rpg. Flying around on a broomstick is cool.
