Hi I was wondering if someone knowledgeable on homebrew could nudge me in the right direction.
I bought a Wii with no knowledge of it's past and after reading through the posts here over the last few days I managed to get it pretty much back to what the previous owner probably had going and then some.
But I'm having issues with the USB loader GX not loading WBFS files.

I will post my SYScheck and the answers to the checkup questions I saw Alexander1970 posted on a similar issue as well as a bit of history and if anyone has some tips on where to go next I would really appreciate it.

So the history: when I launched the Wii at first I noticed the homebrew channel, they didn't provide an SD so nothing worked right away.
I noobed around for a day then I discovered the problem and started loading up an SD with the files they had channels for ( SNES 9x gx{works}, VBA gx{works}, Wii MC{works}, Usb Loader{won't load games})
And additionally I've since added (FCEU gx {works}, NOT64 {works}, Wii 2600 {isn't working}, Nintendont {untested}, D2X-cios-instsller, {not executed} SyscheckHDE,

I've loaded retro roms and tested the emulators and they work fine.

I have a powered USB that is being recognized and shows the 7 test titles I used
It's formatted with sd formatter to Fat 32 The games are loaded with WiiBackup Manager.
they included, sports, new mario, DK jungle,
None of the games will load though.

Running HB 1.1.0
USB Loader 3.0 r1272
iOS 58 v24.32

I guess my questions are, Do I go ahead and install the Cios
and should I do a Nand backup before I go any further?
Besides the files I have on the SD, should I add anything
and finally can I assume the USB HDD is preforming ok since the titles all show up?

Thanks so much.
Lots of helpful posts on here.

Hello.:)

Thank you for your sysCheck.
It says "loud and clear" - No cIOSes installed. That is the Reason why the Wi games (and other Things) not working at the Moment.:)

As you correctly said, doing a NAND Backup BEFORE is never a bad Idea.:yay:
Do you have a Priiloader and/or BootMii installed ?

After you made the Backup,it is the "easiest" and safest Way to use @XFlak´s ModMii for the Update.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/

You can use your sysCheck on it and ModMii organises the needed Files for the Update for you.:)

You can also install the cIOSes "by Hand",of course.:D
I see your Homebrew Channel "needs" also to be updated.

If you have any Questions or if you feel unsure, please ask before.:D

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

Thanks Alexander
I will read that post.and check my Wii, I believe they had BootMii on there under the Usb loader exit menu?
One question, am I ok to connect this to Internet? or does it need to be?
Thanks for your help

Thank you.:)

Internet is ok,you are already on the latest System Version 4.3U.:)
Please "refuse" any System Update/Messages if some appears.
The "worst" thing that happens if you should allow an System Update, your Softmod/Priiloader is "gone".

Great, :)
So I found the menu Itemv for BootMii in the homebrew submenu - but it hangs on a black screen so maybe it isn't installed correctly.
I'll get to reading the stuff you've written and see where it leads me
I was worried that installing Cios might be the wrong thing, so thanks very much for that info Alexander!

Thanks for your assistance Alexander,I was able to backup my Nand And I got 2 of 3 of the games I tried working off the USB
After loading the Cios patches.

All is good, I am stoked to play some games I could never find or afford as a kid.
I appreciate your prompt and friendly advice :)
Will check out more of what homebrew has to offer
