Hacking Question firmware update?

I got my switch last year, and did the cfw on 6.2, everything works fine, i had alot of fun with the games i had, but now i want some new games, but i cant install new games, gold leaf said my verison is too low for the new games, i dont know how to re-pack the games with 6.2 keys. what is my option here? please help, thanks

Update your firmware to 8.1.0 via ChoidujourNX, use autoRCM if you care about your fuse.

thanks, i downloaded the firmware and choidujournx, now on the choidujournx screen, my current firmware is 6.2, NO EXFAT, I dont want to lose everything, so I pick 8.1 NON-EXFAT too, right?

You can always install the firmware update with the exFAT option, but it is recommended to use FAT32 format SD card.

Ensure to set up 90DNS, just in case your console goes online by mistake. It'll download the 9.0 update and screw things up.
Yup you can install the update with the additional exFAT patch, however FAT32 SD cards are recommend, as they're less prone to cluster errors and data corruption compared to exFAT formatted SD cards.
on a last note. make sure to remove any custom themes that you might have before proceeding with the update via ChoiDujourNX.

i need to reload CFW for 8.1, copied atomph 0.9.1 to sd, not working, copied Reinx, payload inject reinx, able to boot in reinx cfw, tested two old games , working,

I never success getting online with the DNS on my old 6.2, i cant get online at all when inputted DNS.

Why not use emuMMC instead of updating your actual firmware? That way you wont have to mess with downgrading amd upgrading

Yea, hm, listen to him. I definitely didn't update by mistake my console and now I'm TOTALLY not waiting for atmosphere to update or my astral chain game can't go on.
