Gaming firmware or manufacturing date on the box ?

Hello,

I'm expecting to buy a Nintendo Dsi XL and I'd like to know if the firmware number can be read on the box before buying ? or maybe the manufacturing date ?

As of right now I can guarantee that any DSi XL you buy new will be at 1.4. Firmware 1.4.1 has not been out long enough for any DSi's to come with it installed already and DSi XL's came out with 1.4.

it all depends on how long the retailer your buying off has had the product, if you buy off say game then you might get a recent one or if you buy from the little shop down the road you may get an older one depending how long he has had them in stock of course.
