Tomorrow I'm going to call it arpiigii I think, unless anyone here has strong objections and has another name to suggest.
I think it should be pronounced Arrr Pee Gee, in much the same way 'Luigi' is pronounced.

Does anyone have a Luigi-sounding voice? We should record arpiigii and have the clip play on startup

So ignoring the poll then

OpenKard is very formal and respectiable in my opinion.

If you want suggestions, I'll toss out two lesser ideas (OpenKard just sounds so right to me).

AceLift (a play on the word "facelift" of course)
Pocket Rocket

Terrible suggestions hurrah!

And I personally dislike arpiigii the most out of everything in the list, but your stuffs; not mine. Although a name doesn't really matter in the end.

EDIT: Actually, the Arpiigii name has sunken into me a bit more... now I think it's flat out retarded! HORAY!

I think the naming should be like so:

1. The sourceforge project name is "openkard". Descriptive and easy to remember.
2. Each new release has it's own "codename," like, for example, Versions of Ubuntu.
This way, we get to use all the cool names.

For instance we have Version 1.0 "ArPiiGii"
Version 1.5 "RoyalStraightFlush"
Version 1.7 "TempKard"

And as for having the name spoken at boot... just no.

Best idea so far!

But still people would argue on the main name of the project

Although for the name at the beginning I also disagree, but IMO, we should add the ability to play sound files in a theme

Okay then. It'll be openkard. But we do need names for the two branches!

The first follows the official acekard firmware someone and is compatible with its themes for the most part.

The second branch is totally messed up and crazy.

IDEAS!

BTW I'm getting to the SF project.
