    Your Firefox should notice the update and ask to apply it

    Firefox 3.0.4 fixes several issues found in Firefox 3.0.3:

    * Fixed several security issues.
    * Fixed several stability issues.
    * Official releases for the Icelandic and Thai languages are now available.
    * Beta releases for the Bulgarian, Esperanto, Estonian, Latvian, Occitan, and Welsh languages are available for testing.
    * Updated the internal Public Suffix list.
    * Fixed an issue where the IME input tool used to enter Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indic characters was covered by the "Add Bookmark" panel. (bug 433340)
    * Enabled additional EV root certificates. (bug 451305)
    * Fixed an issue where some passwords saved using Firefox 3.0.2 did not work properly. (bug 457358)
    * In some cases, Firefox would not properly save proxy settings for protocols other than HTTP. (bug 446536)

    See the complete list of bugs fixed.

    LOL when I was about to click on Check for Updates, it says "Downloading Firefox 3.0.4" instead... How convenient...

    How can you force Firefox to check for Updates?

    Via the Help menu.

    I'm a bit surprised that Ubuntu doesn't have this update yet... Or is it Windows only?

    Firefox in Ubuntu is updated from the Update Manager itself.

    I'm still on Firefox 2 here, which also got an update.

    I value my extensions.

    Most if not all extensions work in Firefox 3 now.

    Yes, I know, but the Update Manager hasn't informed me of any updates yet. Oh well, I think I can live without this update for a while [IMG]

    the bug where the tabs session disappears after closing the browser hasn't been fixed it seems, that's the only reason i will update.

    Firefox 3.1 beta 2 was set for release early-mid November but is being pushed back due to bugs but may still ship very soon, which I am looking forward to.

    Is there anyway to prevent that thing where if when you exit Firefox and a Flash or Java object was open, you have to go to the Task Manager to end firefox.exe before you can start it again? This is mega annoying for me.
