Hacking Fire Emblem if + sky3ds 9.9.0-26

I sent a email to sky3ds about Fire Emblem and how I could play it without .cia or cfw on 9.9.0-26 i got this reply
"You can try "pastaCFW" to play Fire Emblem If on a Sky3DS, see details here:

Just do part 4 select options enable firmware launch by changing to yes on Enable FirmLaunch" and they said this works on any firmware but i want to ask if anyone tried this before

Haha. "Sky3DS can support Fire Emblem If ..." my ass.
It won't even work on 9.9 and few people with a Sky are still on 9.2 or below so it's rather useless
