Well... 1.4 does have bad time finding the usb drive for me... This behaviour even worsened with the use of a custom background in the sd card...
by the way, 30 seconds waiting is of no use (at least to me)
If I properly power cycle the wii chances are better that it finds the usb drive... If I wait a few seconds in the device selection prompt then it never finds the drive...
ps: this behaviour I tested sending the dol to hbc...
