Setting up XBMC for various systems (including the raspberry pi - it is pretty nice) and I am in need of a Film renaming tool, I normally go manual or play with batch files but XBMC has a half nice library tool even if it does need a helping hand from time to time.
I had a quick poke around http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Category:Rename_tools but for films I have nothing half as nice as http://therenamer.com/ is for TV shows.

To that end anybody got a renaming tool they favour (I fully expect I might have unfairly dismissed something detailed on the XBMC link above so by all means suggest one from there if you like it)? It would be nice if I can help it out a bit as some of the automated ones (therenamer especially) like to try to wrest control away from me but that is not a requirement as long as I can stop it and go by hand for those few things it is necessary for.

From the link you posted, I understand that the program also supports movie renames?

Edit: I use this for renaming my tv shows: http://tvshowrenamer.codeplex.com/releases/view/82916

Even though the program is for tv shows, its a file renamer. So it should work with any movie you put in there and it will remove all the junk in the name. You can customize it however you like, and if there is a word that does not get removed, then there is a junk word option that you could manually insert to have that word removed.

It should do the job well.. However, if you're looking for it to pull the title name from websites, then I don't think it will do that for movies..

Anyway, I hope that helps

So, you're looking for a program that renames movies? I use YAMMM (Yet Another Media Meta Manager). It works for me. Probably isn't the most full featured tool. I think it gets information from IMBD.
