Hi there!

I wanted to rip all voice samples from 'Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume'.
But all I can extract are some .cpk files which cannot be read by any program or tools.

So I heard that I need the FileMajik from CRI Middleware, apparently it can unpack .cpk files.
In order to download the free version, you have to register on their website CRI Middleware.
But the problem is, I didn't receive any answer to my request (after several tries xD).

So does anyone have this FileMajik for DS and can send me, please?

Or do you know any other way I can extract the sound files?
Please help ._.

your sure there were no sdat or seq files?
Hmm give VGMtoolbox or vgmtrans from sourceforge.net a try
I haven't taken a look at this game so and even then use the search button here amd look it up in gbatemp I'm pretty sure there is more info from somebody in the know...
cpk is usually means to me compressed but not music... i could be wrong

Those are all files I could extract:

Blame-J.sdat
Battle_PrivateFiles.cpk
Camp_PrivateFiles.cpk
Debug_PrivateFiles.cpk
Event_PrivateFiles.cpk
Field_PrivateFiles.cpk
Mov_EV01_32k.mods
Mov_EV02_32k.mods
Mov_EV03_32k.mods
Movie_PrivateFiles.cpk
PublicFiles.cpk
Scenario_PrivateFiles.cpk
Sound_Battle_Voice1.cpk
Sound_Battle_Voice2.cpk
Sound_Battle_Voice3.cpk
Sound_Battle_Voice4.cpk
Sound_Battle_Voice5.cpk
Title_PrivateFiles.cpk
World_PrivateFiles.cpk

I'm pretty sure that the voice samples are contained in 'Sound_Battle_Voice' files.
However, I tried VGMtoolbox to unpack Blame-J.sdat and search for wav files. But all I get are a couple of sound effects (magic/sword/hit etc.) and not voices. = (

But thank you very much anyway rastsan. ^^
I keep tryinn and hope someone can get me FileMajik ^^

And this is why pirating software exists. I searched on some warez sites and I found FileMajik. Didn't download and try it cause I'm not in the mood

Also, if you find it, do NOT post a link here, it's forbidden. Just thought I'd remind you of that.

Thank you very much, finally I found the free version.
Well... now I'm getting another problem. *sigh* xD
I tried it on a cpk file named 'Sound_Battle_Voice1.cpk'.
And Filemajik got me a lot of strange files which have no extension at all.
They're like ID00001, ID00002, ID00003, .. etc.

Hmm, do you guys know how am I supposed to convert them to sound files (.wma, .mid)?
Or is this quit impossible?
Or am I too dumb? ^^

try classis media player found on sourceforge (it has a codec pack that is good)
hopefully even if the file is named wrong it will still play it, and give you an idea of what it actually is
also try opening them in a hex editor and looking for a magic stmp or even better in Crystaltile2 It has a media player too
