Hacking FBI not installing CIA's on home screen.

What do you mean it does nothing? I'm confused.. did you get the H&S from sysnand or emunand? You'd be working entirely within the emunand section of Decrypt9

I used the dump and injector both from the emuNAND options in Decrypt 9. Once I have injected the files back to H&S in the emuNAND options after running the Injector on the PC what's my next step? Do I just load up emuNAND or what?

Go to the H&S app in emunand and it should appear as FBI

I did that but the normal H&S appeared. I put both "FBI_inject_no_banner.app" and "FBI_inject_with_banner.app" to the root of the SD, correct? I honestly have no idea why it's not working. I did exactly what that guide said.

I don't recall doing that, but it was awhile ago. I'll try going through the steps again. Link to your guide?

Also, in Decrypt9 I used emuNAND options to get hs_emu.app rather than hs.app in sysNAND options. Is that ok?

This is the guide I'm using.

For example you can unistall them with FBI launching it while you are in sysnand.

You have to put only one of them into the root of your sd and has to be renamed hs.app or something like this.

1. On your SD card, rename Launcher.dat back to EmuNAND9.dat
2. Then rename Decrypt9WIP to Launcher.dat
3. In the web browser, go to go.gateway-3ds.com to launch Decrypt9WIP.
   • Alternatively, you can scan this QR code.
4. Navigate to SysNAND File Options and then Dump Health & Safety. Let the process finish.
5. Turn off your 3DS.
6. Go back to your 3DSCFWKIT_V3.00-STABLE folder and open the PC_Apps folder.
7. Open the UniversalInjectGenerator folder.
8. Insert your 3DS SD into your PC.
9. Find the hs.app file on your SD and place it in the Input folder that is inside the Inject Generator folder. There will be a BigBlueMenu.cia already in there.
10. Run go.bat. If there are no issues, you will find that there are two inject-ready .app files in the Input folder.
11. To finally inject BigBlueMenu into SysNAND, rename the BigBlueMenu-with-banner.app file to hs.app and place it on your SD, overwriting the one that is already there.
12. Launch Decrypt9WIP again, and navigate to SysNAND File Options.
13. Choose health&safety inject to inject the hs.app. Don't worry, it's not as dangerous as you may think.
14. Now, launch the rxTools menu (hold L during launch), and boot RXMODE SysNAND.
    • You will be booted to what appears to be regular SysNAND.
    • Navigate to the H&S app and it should now be the BigBlueMenu app (Title Manager)!
15. Launch BigBlueMenu.
16. Go to the SDMC tab. Basically, this is your SD card it is looking at.
17. Navigate to the CIAs folder and install/import DevMenu_2x.cia and old3DS.AGB_FIRM.Patch.cia (if this one doesn't let you install, you can use the DevMenu app to install it)
18. You just installed your first CIAs!

That makes sense. When Injecting I had to pick the file name and of course picked hs.app. But because there wasn't a file with that name because I kept them at default names it wouldn't inject properly. Lemme go inject again now that it's renamed.

In other words:

2) inject bbm in it using your pc
3) rename the version "blablabla with banner" in "hp.app" and copy-paste this one on the root of your sd. If appear a message about overwrite the previous one say ok.
4) run again decrypt9 and this time, always in emunand options, chose to inject hp.
Now, while you'll be in emunand, launching hp.app will launch bbm instead

I'm glad to know that all worked properly. Also you can do the same thing for the sysnand (dumping the hp.app from the sysnand, not from the emunand) in order to have bbm even on it and be able to unistall all the cias that you have already installed on it.
