Ever since my father pulled it out of the closet, blew the dust off, and let me play SMB, I was hooked. It's the reason I am a Nintendo fanboy.

I cant decide between the original gameboy(which should be on that list, considering you're including the game gear) and the playstation 1. On one hand there's pokemon from back when it had a soul, on the other you have the golden era of the survival horror. I guess ultimately I'd go with Gameboy since its more "retro" but I chose cant decide on the poll since that wasnt an option.

Edit: D'oh! Missed the other option! Oh well...

I'm not sure I'd call the Saturn my favorite old console, but WTH it didn't even make the list!?!

I guess I vote NES cuz that's what was hot when I was in college, which is when I spent the most time gaming. But I've got a modded Saturn with about 120 games that gets a lot of playtime even now. And while its catalog doesn't hold the same emotional appeal for me that any Nintendo console does, it was tops for fans of 2D arcade fighters and shmups who couldn't afford the NeoGeo. Very underrated system.
