I have a ps4 pro on 4.55. I went to play it today and it was showing that it updated itself to 5.05 but since it was in rest mode it still had the debug menu and all the content worked and was even able to install new pkgs. The ps4 froze and I had to unplug it thinking I was doomed and would be left without an exploitable machine. But when I plugged it back in, it did it's disc check and loaded properly. Checked that the debug menu was indeed gone after the power cycle. But then for the hell of it I checked the firmware again and it was showing back up as 4.55. I wasn't aware that this was possible. I would have taken pics but didn't think about it until I saw again that it was on 4.55. I'm just curious if anyone else has had this happen.

@fringle what payload did you run prior to this?

I know stoogeds latest hen + vr is spoofed to 6.05, his old one was 5.05 (probably what you used) and Al-Azifs hen (non vr) is 5.51 spoofed IIRC.

I doubt a miracle happend bruh, this exact thing has been posted a few times before. :P

Ok that makes sense. Thanks. I know when I tried to run the hen it told me I wasn't on an exploitable firmware so I was quite shocked when it reverted.

Just noticed you had asked which payload I ran. To be honest I'm not sure due to the fact my ps4 was in rest mode for about 2 weeks and can't remember which one I ran last. I did attempt to run Al-Azifs latest hen 0.4.2 this morning but got the message that I wasn't on an exploitable firmware. Then I noticed the debug menu was still present when I went to check the firmware and it showed 5.05. That was when I though that it was a goner if I had to power it off.
I continued using the debug menu and was able to install and use pkgs. That was when it locked up and needed to be rebooted and when I checked it was back on 4.55.
The only other hen I was using was Al-Azifs 0.4.1 before updating to 0.4.2
