Hello. So, I’ve been playing Pokemon Emerald with the Ez Omega DE and it’s got me wondering if there’s something similar you can use to play Gbc roms on a real Gamecube.

Anyone know of an Ez Omega De Equivalent for the Gamecube?

You want a regular GB flashcard for your GB Player, such as the Everdrive X7 or the Ezflash Junior?

Or maybe just to emulate them in Enhanced mGBA?

I guess I meant like something for the gamecube that is similar to the omega de (in that you can load roms on to it) and can operate well with the omega de.

So basically, looking for something that can give you the whole gbc experience like you can pretty much get with the Ez Omega De for the gba.

For general gamecube games, but also like games that can connect with the gba (Pokemon Ruby Sapphire box, Pokemon Colosseum, etc).

Maybe this would have been a better question for a gbc forum, but I guess I just wanted to ask here because I’m looking for something that works well with gba and the omega de, specifically.

OK, so the best GB/C flashcard (in terms of features only and ignoring value) is the Everdrive X7, but it doesn't support the most exotic mappers, in fact it doesn't support most official ones (by strict number of designs, the missing ones are of course the uncommon games) while the Ezflash Junior is cheaper and claims to support a few more mappers, but you also get less features and build quality...

Neither of those have the most common expansion hardware either (rumble/accelerometer) nor do they have a menu-less "mode B", for the latter you would need a traditional flashcard with an external programmer or possibly the old EMS USB ones (as there's no such thing as download play for the GB/C it doesn't matter much except for Pokemon Stadium which of course is on the N64 or if you were to find a genuine Pokemon event distribution machine, but still...)

For general gamecube games, but also like games that can connect with the gba (Pokemon Ruby Sapphire box, Pokemon Colosseum, etc).
No GB/C modern flashcard, traditional one, or for that matter original game can connect to the GC or any GBA-mode software (including anything that runs on the Omega)

For a general all-around card that won't break the bank, get an EDGB clone off AliExpress. For any games than need RTC like gen 2 Pokemon games, get Bennvenn's MBC3000 or the $40 AliExpress version.

Stay away from the EZ-Flash Jr, its got far too many issues to be practical, especially for it's steep price. It's a power hog, there's SD card compatibility problems, it has a very sluggish menu, and the RTC isn't accurate, having time drift problems.

As someone who owns a EDGB, yeah get MBC3000 as the RTC for the EDGB is pretty much borderline non existent iirc you'd have to reset the clock a bunch it's insanely tedious

it has to be clarified that edgb/everdrive gb and everdrive gb x3-x5-x7 are different products. it's not clear because they named them almost the same thing, but the everdrive gb that has been cloned is not made anymore, and the everdrive gb x7 which has rtc is actually functional and doesnt have the problems that edgb or its clones might have

just in case someone ends up here on a web search or something and might get confused and think that they should avoid everdrive entirely
