Shoptemp reccomends i buy a minisd card
ATM i am very poor and i can only afford to buy a microsd to minisd at frys to use with my existing 1gb microsd
IS it safe?

Yes. In fact I almost always buy microSD's for all my devices including the ones that accept a full size SD or even MS, that way all my cards are usable in anything... W/ the proper adapter of course. Beyond the occasional faulty or worn out adapter, I've never experienced any problems w/ anything: phone, Wii, DS(i), PSP, etc.

It is safe, but depending on the quality of the adapter, you may experience speed problems.

many ez iv users i've talked to said that adapters could not be used. they highly recommend you get a real mini-sd 2gb card (depending on if the ez iv is updated for the old 1gb limit). other users said they have some luck with adapters but that no one adapter was perfect in all situations for the ez iv.

this is the first thing i've heard of that has issues with quality adapters.
